Terry C. Bagan left behind his pickup and an empty gun box

ADVERTISEMENTS

The body of Sherwood’s Terry Christopher Bagan was recovered Monday, July 26, from the Willamette River near a boat dock at Rogers Landing in Newberg.

Bagan, 46, had been missing since Oct. 28, when his pickup and an empty gun box were found near the boat landing.

Sherwood police and the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office searched the area and a nearby park for any sign of Bagan last fall. Divers from Newberg Fire Department’s Dive Rescue Team also searched the river in the area, but were unable to find Bagan.

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said boaters discovered Bagan’s body 3 p.m. when it surfaced near the dock.
