HILLSBORO — A pair of area football standouts will get the chance to play one more high school game.
Jered Richter, a 2010 Tualatin High School graduate, and Josh Wagg, a 2010 Sherwood graduate, will play in the 63rd-annual Les Schwab Bowl, which will start at 6 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium.
The game will feature many of the top graduating Class 5A and Class 6A football players from around the state.
Richter (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) is listed as an offensive lineman/linebacker for the South team. As a Tualatin senior Richter was an All-Pacific Conference selection on both offense and defense. He was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year and he also was an honorable mention Class 6A all-state pick on defense.
Richter was also named the National Football Foundation Portland Chapter Lineman Scholar Athlete of the Year back in December.
Wagg (6-1, 200) will play at linebacker for the North team in Saturday’s all-star tilt.
